Once you've created a map collection, you can share your map collection with other Trailforks users. In order to share your map collection and have the shared user view and/or contribute to the shared map collection on trailforks.com, that user must have a Trailforks account.
Share a Map Collection
To share your map collection, you can either 'Edit' the map collection, or you can click on 'Permissions.'
Clicking on 'Edit' allows to make edits to the title of the collection, the featured colour, and whether this collection is under a parent collection or is a parent collection.
You can also add collaborators to your Map Collection. Search for the user you wish to add as a viewer or editor (this user must have a Trailforks account), and then select the user. You can then choose what kind of permissions you want this user to have: Viewer or Editor.
Once you've added a collaborator, that user will now be able to see the items in the collection. If they are an editor of the collection, they will be able to add/remove items from the map collection.
Viewing Shared Collections
To see map collections that are shared with you, go to your profile dropdown, and select 'Map Collections.' Your shared map collections will appear there with a 'Shared' tag next to them.
If you wish to be removed from a Shared Map Collection, you will need to contact the owner of the Map Collection and have the owner remove you as a contributor.
Note: if the map collection is archived by the owner of the map collection, that will archive the collection for you too as a contributor.
