On trailforks.com, you can monitor recent reports on your favorite regions to ride. First, you have to add 'favorite regions' to your profile in order to see any Fav Region Reports show up. To favorite a region, search for the region, and at the bottom of the page, click on ' add to favorites.' This should add the region to your favs list, which will appear on the trailforks.com homepage or in your app, under your profile.
On the Trailforks homepage, you will see a block on the right-hand side entitled "Fav Region Reports." Notably, this feature exists on trailforks.com, but it does not exist on the app. Fav Region Reports makes it faster to view recent reports & monitor the region for updates.
The feature lists the regions you've added to your favorites list. It then tracks the last time you viewed the reports page for each of these regions and informs you if any NEW reports have been added since the time you last viewed the reports page. Similar to how many internet forums function, viewing the reports page for a region will reset the "new" reports tag for that region.
If you click on the word, 'new', in the block itself, this will clear the flag, rather than putting you on the reports page for the region. This feature only works if you are logged into Trailforks.
The grey date beside each link is the time of the last trail report in that region.
You can manage which regions are shown in this block by visiting your Favorites page on your profile. You can add & remove regions on your Favs list, and sort the order the that regions are shown. This homepage block only will show your first 10 favorited regions.
Note: the functionalities shown in the video may differ slightly from the UX offered in the app today. The app and website have undergone a number of release updates, and if you have kept your Trailforks app up-to-date, you should see a more updated version of many of these functions shown in the video. We have kept the video up on our help center as it still serves to show users the many features that Trailforks offers!
