How to Tag a Point of Interest with the Correct Trail
If a trail has a vague name or a name that's difficult to find, you can instead tag a point of interest to a trail by finding the trail's ID:
1. On your Point of Interest page, go to 'Edit Point of Interest,' or you may already be on that page if you're adding a POI.
2. Next, find the Trail ID number of the trail you wish to associate with the point of interest:
- Go to the Trail page itself by searching for the trail.
- At the bottom of the trail page, you will see a number under the details about when the trail was updated/submitted.
- Copy this number.
3. In the URL of the 'Edit Point of Interest' page, add the Trail ID number to the URL by adding the following:
?trailid=[insert trail number here]
4. The Point of Interest will then be tagged to the correct trail.
Here's a video demo showing you how to complete the steps above:
Note: the functionalities shown in the video may differ slightly from the UX offered in the app and website today. Trailforks has undergone a number of release updates, and if you have kept your Trailforks app up-to-date, you should see a more updated version of many of these functions shown in the video. We have kept the video up on our help center as it still serves to show users the many features that Trailforks offers!
