If a region doesn't contain enough trails that have GPS tracks, you can add a location icon to assist with geographical-related issues in the region, including if a region map isn't displayed on the region's page or the region icon/drop pin isn't in the correct position when a map is zoomed out.
Issues you might see:
- No map is displayed for the region
- No geographical information for the riding area
- The location icon doesn't appear on a zoomed out map
1. Go to the region's page, click on 'Add/Edit' > 'Edit Region.'
2. Go to the 'Geo' section.
3. You can drop a location pin on the map; you are able to drag and drop the icon to the correct location.
4. You can additionally draw in the borders to the riding area by clicking on the 'boundary' icon.
5. Hit 'Submit' after making your changes.
If new trails are added to the region that are outside the borders that you've drawn, the region border will automatically recalibrate to include those trails you've added.
Note: the functionalities shown in the video may differ slightly from the UX offered in the app and website today. Trailforks has undergone a number of release updates, and if you have kept your Trailforks app up-to-date, you should see a more updated version of many of these functions shown in the video. We have kept the video up on our help center as it still serves to show users the many features that Trailforks offers!
