You may wish to copy a route if you are creating a route for a race or your wishlist, and you want to add certain features to the route or change details about the route without altering the original route.
Here is how to copy a route:
1. Navigate to the route.
2. Click on the Add/Edit dropdown.
3. Click on 'Copy Route.'
4. This will bring you to the page where you can 'Add a Route.'
5. You can draw a route or upload a GPS file from the prior route.
4. After creating the route, most of the details will be pre-filled in based on the route copied.
5. You can change the title and choose to copy the photos and/or Points of Interest to your new route.
6. If the route that you copied is no longer current (for instance, it was for a race that already took place), you can mark the route as archived.
6. People can still search for the archived route, but the archived route will be displayed with a strikethrough. Additionally, on the list of routes, the archived route will render slightly opaque if it is no longer current.
Note: the functionalities shown in the video may differ slightly from the UX offered in the app and website today. Trailforks has undergone a number of release updates, and if you have kept your Trailforks app up-to-date, you should see a more updated version of many of these functions shown in the video. We have kept the video up on our help center as it still serves to show users the many features that Trailforks offers!
