Trailforks will send a simple email to encourage users to quickly add multiple trail reports for any trails recently used. Adding trail reports allows for others in the community to view the latest conditions on the local trail systems.
Note: You will only ever get 1 email per ridelog. If you wish to turn this notification off, you can learn about controlling your email and notification settings here.
In order to receive the email, the activity must contain the following criteria:
- Activity must have matched trails.
- Activity is NOT bulk imported.
- The "Activity Report Emails" option in your profile settings is enabled.
- More than 50% of the matched trails don't have a report.
- The average age of all the most recent reports for all the trails you rode is greater than 2 weeks old.
The goal is to not for us to send an email for every activity if the area you ride has an active user base submitting reports. But Trailforks will send you an email if the trails you've ridden don't have any recent reports. This will allow you to help others in the community know if the trails have an issue or are in bad condition for activity.
