The location of a ridelog is determined by the following:
- When the ridelog is first being processed, Trailforks uses the starting lat/lng of your ride to find the closest "riding area" region marker if within a 5km radius that also supports the ridelog's activity.
- If the closest regional marker is not found, we will then look for the closest city region marker within 30km.
- If still no regional marker is found after broadening the search, then we will look for the closest region marker of ANY kind within 220km.
Later on in the process, if trails are matched to the ride, then the most common region amongst the matched trails is used to determine the location of the ridelog.
