Trailforks Apple Watch: Adding Waypoints & Traildar

From the map screen on the Trailforks Apple Watch app, you have the ability to add waypoints and Traildar. 

You can choose to add waypoints/Traildar while on actively recording, or you can also choose to pause the recording and swipe back to the map screen to add Waypoints or Traildar.

Any waypoints and Traildar that you add from the Trailforks Apple Watch app will appear on your Trailforks iOS app. Likewise, any waypoints and Traildar that you add from your Trailforks iOS app will appear on the Apple Watch app.

If you are offline while recording an activity, your added Waypoints/Traildar will sync to your iOS account once you are back in signal. There may be a slight delay when you are back in signal to seeing your waypoints/Traildar appear in the iOS app. 

Additionally, if you deleted any waypoints/Traildar from your Trailforks Apple Watch app while offline, there may be a slight delay to seeing those points disappear from the iOS app.

Note: certain Apple Watches can sync data over cellular reception. 

Add Waypoints

1. To add a Waypoint, simply ‘long press’ on the map screen in the location you wish to add the waypoint.
2. You should get a pop-up that asks if you would like to add a Waypoint or Traildar.
3. Select ‘Add Waypoint.’
4. The title will default to ‘Waypoint,’ but you can tap on the default title to edit the title as you wish, and then tap ‘Done.’ 
   
   
5. Once you tap ‘Save Waypoint,’ the waypoint title and location are preserved. You can only edit the waypoint further by logging into the Trailforks iOS app and editing the waypoint from there.
6. You can also choose to delete the waypoint by tapping on the waypoint and selecting ‘Delete.’ The waypoint will also be deleted from the iOS app.

Add Traildar

1. To add Traildar, ‘long press’ on the map screen in the location you wish to add Traildar.
2. You should get a pop-up that asks if you would like to add a Waypoint or Traildar.
3. Select ‘Add Traildar.’ 

4. Choose your preferred persistence level. 

   
   
   5. Tap ‘Save Traildar.' Once you tap ‘Save Traildar,’ the Traildar location and persistence level are preserved. 

   6. You can only edit the Traildar further by logging into the Trailforks iOS app and editing the Traildar point from there. 

   7. You can also choose to delete the Traildar by tapping on the waypoint and selecting ‘Delete.’ The Traildar will also be deleted from the iOS app.
