Only share your live location with trusted friends and users. Before starting to share your live location, please ensure that the members in the group are riders that you know and trust.
Group Location Sharing: Troubleshooting FAQs
1. I started sharing my live location but other members in the group aren’t seeing my profile on their map screen?
Try the following steps if other members in the group aren't seeing your profile on their map screens:
- Ensure that all members have enabled push notifications for your group.
- Ensure that all members have accepted your invitation to view your location via push notification.
- Ensure that all members have accepted the invitation to the group and are active members in the group.
2. I’m the admin of a group but would like to leave the group and transfer my admin responsibility to another member. How do I do this?
In order to leave the group as an admin, you will need to transfer your admin status to another member or members of the group. If there are multiple admins in a group, you will be able to leave the group without having to transfer your admin status.
To transfer your admin status to another member or members of the group, simply tap on the profile of the member you wish to transfer admin responsibility to, then select ‘Promote to admin.’
As an admin, you can similarly demote members from admin status by tapping on their profile and selecting ‘demote admin.’ If you are NOT an admin, you will not be able to promote or demote members to admin status.
3. Are privacy zones honoured for live location sharing?
They are not. When sharing your live location, please make sure that you are sharing your live location only with trusted friends and riders.
