As a Trailforks user, you can set-up Traildar notifications in your app and have them reflected on your Garmin device. To set up a Traildar notification on your app, see this article.
If you're riding with your phone in your pocket, you may not notice Traildar notifications you've set up from your phone. If you have a Garmin watch, you can enable smart notifications so that you're able to receive notifications on your wrist while you're riding.
In order to receive Traildar notifications on your Garmin device, you'll need to confirm that you've set up your Garmin watch correctly:
- Ensure that you're created Traildar point(s) in the Trailforks app.
- You must be actively recording a ride using the Trailforks app to get Traildar notifications.
- You've connected your Garmin watch to your phone via bluetooth.
- Enable Smart Notifications on your Garmin watch.
- Enable Trailforks notification permissions in Garmin Connect.
Once you've enabled all the correct notification settings for your Garmin Watch to accept Trailforks notifications, you'll be able to receive pings about your Traildar points straight to your Garmin watch.
Note: If you have Do Not Disturb mode enabled on your watch, this will affect Traildar notifications; check your Smart Notification settings if you are not getting Traildar notifications on your Garmin device.
